Olá!
Fiz este postal para a minha mãe. Usei um papel com um padrão de faz lembrar a madeira e usei um papel preto com embossing que também tem veios de madeira. Por cima desta tira preta colei as tulipas estampadas e pintadas com lápis de aguarela. Foi difícil dar cor a estas tulipas porque eu queria que fossem brancas. Usei, por isso, um lápis cinza claro e um nadinha de azul claro. As folhas foram pintadas usando dois tons de verde. A tira amarela era apenas algo que tinha no meu monte de papéis e que, num impulso, decidi acrescentar. Acho que o resultado final é bom. Só não sei se a minha mãe vai gostar. E já sei que se até ao dia da mãe fizer um postal ainda mais bonito, será esse o eleito! Quem sabe e que acontecerá? As mães merecem o melhor, não é verdade?

I've made this card for mother's day, as it is celebrated on the first weekend of May here in Portugal. For my card base I've used a paper with a wooden plank pattern. The black piece was also embossed with a folder which reminds me of wood. And that was where I've glued the tulips after colouring and fussy cutting them. As usual I've used watercolour pencils but I have to confess it was rather difficult to colour white tulips. I just used a very light warm grey and a touch of blue. For the leaves, I've used two shades of green. As for the yellow stripe, that was something I had in my stash and, in an impulse I thought it looked good with this colour combination. I realy love the final result and I hope my mother does too. Well... knowing me well, if I do an even more beautiful card until mother's day, that's the one I'll give her. Who knows what wil happen? Mothers deserve the best, right?
